I'm not sure what "local establishment" alternatives your thinking of where one can hang out all day reading business cases or working on one's dissertation and grab a glass of wine (at least here in MA). If they existed, I'd be there. In Europe, yes. On the left coast, scattered here and there. In general, no. So - underserved market - I think great opportunity. Now, if that sparks the creation of local options along the same lines, so much the better. I think it’s a great idea, not because of the Starbucks angle per se, but because it’s angled at a generally underserved market.
